I rang the following day when the florist was open again, and asked if they had seen the request for an additional line on the card. They had, and it had already been done and the flowers and card were already with their courier.I have only today (several days later) been able to reach the person to whom I had sent the flowers, to see how she was going. She commented that the flowers were beautiful. Since I haven`t seen them myself (I live in another state) I don`t know any more than that.
I ordered the flowers at 10.05 am for delivery before 3pm (school time?). It was not clear on the site that this was only for schools. I rang to check on the delivery at 4.31pm as my aunt had not received her flowers yet. I was told they were still on the way. They did not arrive until after 5pm and they were left on the verandah, with no one knocking on the door. My aunt only knew that the flowers had arrived because I called her and asked her to check outside. In my opinion, the lovely surprise of having some flowers delivered on my aunt`s birthday was dampened by her having to check several times during a very hot day to see if her "surprise " had arrived. Also, arriving at the end of the day was a disappointment, as I was hoping that because I had ordered so early, she would receive them early-ish which would set her up for a pleasant day.
